Windstream provides E911 service to all our customers who have a Voice product (i.e. when we supply the customer with Telephone Numbers), including Dynamic IP, POTS, Centrex, TDM-PRI, etc. Telephone numbers (TNs) are initially loaded into the 911 ALI Database with the service address for the location the TNs are associated with. The service address is the physical location where the services are deployed at time of installation.

PS-ALI is an add-on service to TDM Voice and Dynamic IP products which allows customers to include station level address detail with specific TNs or all TNs. PS-ALI enables customers to be in compliance with the RAY BAUM’S Act requirement for Dispatchable Location information.

Windstream’s Dynamic IP product is set to automatically allow 911 to be dialed direct – no 9+ or 8+ required. However, the customer’s on-premises MLTS must be programmed accordingly. Windstream suggests customers contact their IT department or telephony vendor to confirm programming. If customers wish to have Windstream manage the emergency notification requirement, PS-ALI must be added to the account.
