How Can We Help?
TDM Upgrade to Fiber
Verizon is planning to upgrade the copper-based network in your building to a fiber-optic based network. This new network will provide you with even greater reliability and a wider range of service offerings in the future.
The upgrade will be done at no cost to you but does require a migration of your copper services to fiber optics.
To complete the required upgrade, we need your cooperation. A Verizon technician will need access to the room where services enter your building, and possibly your office, to install new customer premises equipment (CPE) that will require a standard power outlet.
Verizon will install that new equipment and swing the station wire over from the existing location (demarc) and plug it into the new equipment. Verizon is to make sure the line is working the way it was PRIOR to the migration. Everything should work the same as it is today.
Faxes are reliable – now if the power goes out for more than 24hrs – you may want to purchase a battery back up and the Verizon tech should be able to guide you on that.
